William C. Peters

PETERS, William C. - 90, of Cape May, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Born in Lawrence, NY, he was the son of the late William Peters and the late Anna J. Peters Weiss. Bill was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Charleen A. (Bell) Peters for the last 24 years. He was a graduate of Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Bill was employed at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Brooklyn, NY, as a civilian employee and was later transferred to the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, Philadelphia, from which he later retired. William was a Veteran of WW II, a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Mary’s Council No 6202, both in Cape May. William was predeceased by his first wife, Frances M. (nee Raynor), and his sister, Erna Marie (nee Peters) Jackson. He will be missed by his loving family, which includes his wife Charleen; half brother, L. William (Tina) Peters; half sister, Caroline (William) Verleger; niece, Kim (Alan) Miranne; nephew, Wade Jackson; two great nieces, Jennifer and Kristen Miranne; and other nieces and nephews. Bill will also be missed by his four-legged little girl, Tiffy, who he adored and spoiled. A viewing took place at the Spilker Funeral Home, Cape May, with the Funeral Mass being held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Cape May. Interment followed at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
