Ralph Flickinger

FLICKINGER, Ralph A. – 71, a native of Cape May, passed away on January 18, 2021 in Houston, Texas with his family at his side. Born on Lafayette Street in Cape May to the late Reed and Bernice Flickinger, Ralph graduated Cape May Regional High School and thereafter honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his return from Vietnam back to Cape May he embarked on his career with the Cape May Fire Department where he served for 25 years, retiring in 1999 as a Lieutenant. A man of intellect and many interests, Ralph enjoyed many things in his life, including hunting, travelling and custom construction but most of all, he was most proud of his family who he enjoyed every moment he had with. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Reedy Flickinger and his loving nephew, Kenny Petersen. Ralph is dearly missed and forever loved by his family which includes his wife of 51 years, Joan Ann (nee Hopp), two sons, Ralph Scott (and Christy) Flickinger and David (and Karen) Flickinger; four grandchildren, Hannah, Ryan, Reagan and Charlie; and his sister, Gini Petersen.
