September 11, 1957 - February 2, 2016
CIRRINICIONE (nee Arsenault), Marianne “Meg” – 58, of Cape May passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, February 2, 2016, in the comfort of her home. A lifelong resident of the Cape May area, Meg’s education began in the Sea Isle City Public School; she later graduated from Wildwood Catholic High School and Glassboro State University with a degree in Elementary Education and Reading specialist. She enjoyed a career as an elementary school teacher, teaching at St. Ann’s School, Wildwood and Our Lady Star of the Sea School, Cape May. Meg loved to cook for her family and she read countless cook books seeking different recipes to make for them. She was an avid gardener and cherished her beautiful flowers, herb gardens, and her tomatoes! She enjoyed knitting and making scarves for everyone. She loved shelling on Fort Myers Beach in Florida with the whole family, but her best time was spent with her husband, her children, her grandson PJ, and her four-legged grandchildren, Penny and Justice. Above all things, Meg considered her two successful children her crowning achievement. She was very proud of their education and their accomplishments in their careers. Meg is dearly missed by her loving family which includes her husband of 35 years, Peter; two children, Kathryn J. Cirrinicione (husband, Robert Simon) and Peter A. Cirrinicione (wife, Rebecca); grandson, Peter John “PJ” Simon; siblings, Janice Deery (husband, Paul) and Peter Arsenault (wife, Theresa) and sister-in-law, Linda Arsenault. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Kathryn Arsenault and her brother, James Arsenault. Funeral services and interment are being held privately. Donations may be made to the Meg Cirrinicione Education Fund, c/o Sturdy Savings Bank, 701 Washington St., Cape May, NJ 08204. This is a fund in memory of Meg for the continuing education of the University of Pennsylvania Nurses of Silverstein 11, who provided amazing care in her many stays there. - Although this website offers many options to send flowers and gifts, PLEASE observe the request of the family to send a memorial contribution instead to the designated fund they have set up (see above information).
