Marijane Laudeman

March 7, 1931 - December 3, 2021

Laudeman, Marijane — 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, December 3, 2021. She was born in Haddonfield, NJ, but lived most of her life in Cape May. As a young girl, Marijane summered in Ocean City, NJ which led to her meeting and later marrying Wally Laudeman. Soon after, the young couple took a small coffee shop and turned it into what would eventually become the renowned Lobster House restaurant. Marijane became the face of the Lobster House, serving as hostess for many years. Marijane didn’t have a bucket list because she lived such a full and gratifying life. She loved a good party, eating out with friends, interior design, reading, gardening, and spending the winter months in Marathon in the Florida Keys with family and friends. The little things, however, were her favorite things: Morning chats over coffee with her daughter, Donna, usually planning their next shopping trip or adventure; going to the Coffee Shop to see her son, Keith; the more than once a day visits from her son, Randy; doing anything that involved spending time with her granddaughter, Jess and the everyday visits from Veau and Vivian, her great granddaughters. Marijane didn’t miss a beat; she was fierce, strong, smart, kind, quick witted, beautiful and funny. She was up for any adventure and didn’t mind if it involved a little trouble along the way. She was a truly remarkable woman who loved her home and her family beyond measure. Marijane is predeceased by her parents, August and Mary Parker; her daughter, Donna Laudeman (2015); her grandson, James Wallace “JW” Cicchitti (2019). Marijane is dearly loved and missed by her family which includes her children, Keith (Susan) Laudeman and Randy (Christina) Laudeman; her grandchildren, Jessica Cicchitti (Jimmy Kleb), Andrew Cicchitti, Alex Laudeman (Brad McIlwain), Wesley Laudeman (Michelle Gannon); her great grandchildren, Veau James Kleb, Vivian Donna Kleb and Gus Nelson McIlwain. Also, several extended family members, an extremely long list of friends including her nearest and dearest coffee to happy hour crew Marylou, Jackie, Joan, Debbie and Norma. Funeral services will be held at a later date and notice will be given.
