Julia C. O'Neill

March 28, 1923 - October 15, 2014

O’NEILL (nee Krula), Julia C. – 91, of Cape May passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Born in Cape May, Julie was a lifelong resident of Cape May. She graduated from Cape May High School and later graduated with her degree in nursing from St. Agnes School of Nursing, Phila., PA. She worked as a registered nurse at Burdette Tomlin Hospital for many years and especially enjoyed working within the pediatric unit. She was a United States Army Veteran of World War II, serving as a nurse. Our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother loved life and lived it to its fullest with her family for many years. Her favorite pastimes include, beach time, dancing, pinochle, playing bridge, taking walks, baking, and loving everyone!! If we have forgotten anything, Julie will let us know, for sure. She is predeceased by her husband, Warren O’Neill (2000); her son, Daniel; grandson, Thomas, Jr. and granddaughter, Kelly, as well as, her nine siblings. Julie will be dearly missed by her loving family which includes her five children, Margaret (and Joseph) Scalise, Richard O’Neill, Donald (and Sandy) O’Neill, Thomas (and Gin) O’Neill and Patricia (and Jack) Watson; also her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday (Oct. 20th) at 9:30am in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 525 Washington St., Cape May where friends will be received from 8:30am – 9:30am. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Cold Spring Cem., Lower Twp. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to: Fresh Air Home for Children, 11th & Surf Aves., Wildwood, NJ 08260.
