Donna Laudeman

October 20, 1953 - April 18, 2015

LAUDEMAN, Donna – 61, of Cape May passed away suddenly in her home on Saturday, April 18, 2015. She was a lifelong resident of Cape May, the town that she truly loved. Donna worked her whole life at her families’ restaurant, The Lobster House and was known for the warm smile and pleasant greeting she gave to all the guests, she truly made them feel at home. Her laugh was her signature--making everyone want to get to know her just a little bit better and when you did you knew the kindest, most sincere, compassionate, understanding and loving woman you would ever know. Donna will always be remembered for her love of animals, her spur of the moment road trips, photo booth pictures, pinball her favorite arcade game, for always being the first and last one on the dance floor, and her absolute zest for life. But more than anything for her all-embracing, unconditional love of her children, there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t or didn’t do for them; they were her life and will forever miss and love her just as all who have had the privilege of knowing her. She is predeceased by her father, Wally Laudeman (2004). Donna is dearly missed by her loving family which includes her mother, Marijane Laudeman; her children Jessica Cicchitti, James Wallace Cicchitti (Megan Popper), Andrew Cicchitti, and Linda (Mark) Tomlin; her brothers, Keith (Susan) Laudeman and Randy (Christina) Laudeman; two grandsons, Tyler and Jaxon Tomlin and two nieces, Alexandra McIlwain (Brad) and Wesley Laudeman; also several cousins and many dear friends, three of whom lasted a lifetime, Debbie McDuell, Chris Arrison, and Doreen Warren Adams. "The Girls" knew how to have fun, and Donna was the ringleader. And there’s the one and only Jackie (Jac Jac) McKnew, who cared for her and her beloved "critters" to the end. Donna’s funeral service will be held on Thursday (April 23rd) at 12 noon in Cape May Convention Hall, 714 Beach Ave., Cape May where friends will be received prior to the funeral service from 10am until 12 noon. Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery, Lower Twp. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Donna’s name to the Community Food Closet of Cape May, 500 Hughes St., Cape May, NJ 08204 or to Animal Outreach, 600 Park Blvd., West Cape May, NJ 08204. (Spilker Funeral Home, Cape May) info and condolences: spilkerfuneralhome.com - Even though this website offers options of sending flowers, please observe the request to send a memorial contribution in Donna's name to the charitable organizations mentioned above.
