Bert Jones

February 25, 1947 - August 26, 2016

JONES, Eva Alberta “Bert” – 69, of North Cape May passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family on Friday, August 26, 2016. Bert was a lifelong resident of the Cape May area and has worked for ACME in North Cape May for the past 27 years, most recently in their Pharmacy Dept. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Fondly known as “Mom Mom” to all, she was highly admired for her kindness and caring to all that knew her. She was a giving and thoughtful person who was loved, especially by her family. She loved to bake, travel with her family, make her famous spaghetti dinners, take Sunday rides with her spouse, was an avid bingo player and loved the holidays. Mom will be sadly missed and never forgotten. She is predeceased by her daughter, Michele Jones; sister, Eleanor Infanto and brother, William Nichols. Bert is dearly missed by her loving family which includes her companion of 35 years, Frank Surran, Sr.; children, Deborah (and Robert) Hodsden; Kimberly Moore, Christa Jones-Wright (James Wright - Deceased), Dawn MacCulloch, and Frank (and Linda) Surran, Jr.; sisters, Mary Ann (and Lawrence) Laricks, and Linda Lee (and Kenneth) McGurk; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She also had many nieces and nephews. Bert’s memorial service will be held on Wednesday (Aug. 31st ) at 12 noon in the Spilker Funeral Home, 815 Washington St., Cape May where friends will be received from 11am until 12 noon. Interment will be private and at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111.
